00:00While also reacting to the arrest of the top cop is former police commissioner Gary Griffith,
00:04the political leader of the National Transformation Alliance.
00:08He says the arrest of the police commissioner marks a difficult time for the TTPS.
00:15This is indeed an unfortunate development but what it can show is that no one is above the law
00:20and if it is that there is an investigation regardless of who that individual is
00:24they can and should be investigated. I know this is going to be a very difficult time for the
00:29police service so I will ask the citizens of this country to give them the support that they need.
00:33I know morale can be affected in a situation like this so I will ask all the police officers being
00:38a previous commissioner of police to dust themselves and to continue to go out there
00:42and serve the country with pride. It's also made an apparent comparison to the police investigation
00:48that led to the arrest of the top cop and the audits into the granting of firearms licenses
00:54during his tenure as police commissioner. Another point to note is that this here is a perfect
01:00example of what is required for investigations. Having bona fide police officers conduct the
01:06investigation to ascertain whether someone is to be arrested, charged or not. Not hiring
01:12retired judges who have no law enforcement training or retirees and call them investigators
01:19do an audit pay people millions of dollars and now
