00:02But do you know what hasn't changed?

00:04The dating pool.

00:05The apps are not giving what they're supposed to

00:07and people don't know what they should do

00:08to go out there and find the person.

00:10If you're looking to improve your chances,

00:12change is necessary.

00:20and Relationships Matter podcast host

00:22to give you her top three pieces of advice

00:25to date differently and have success

00:27when you're out here dating this year.

00:29Take it Chanel.

00:29All right guys, so you know it's 2025

00:32and we date differently than 10, even 20 years ago, right?

00:35Things are different.

00:36So the first tip would be

00:38before you even consider dating

00:40or getting into a relationship with someone else

00:42is you gotta know your purpose.

00:43You gotta know who you are.

00:44You gotta know your God-given identity

00:46and you have to be good with you.

00:49It is so important that you know your worth.

00:52So when someone disappoints you,

00:53you're not gonna fall apart, right?

00:55You're gonna be like, that's cool.

00:56If you don't like me, I like me.

00:58And moving on to the next, right?

01:00The next tip would be a foundation of friendship.

01:04So often we wanna jump the gun.

01:05We meet someone, we like them.

01:07We're like, okay, you're my man, you're my woman.

01:09But no, you have to establish a foundation of friendship.

01:14Get to know your person, vet them, right?

01:16Find out their personality in all seasons, right?

01:19Find out how they react when they're angry,

01:21when they're mad, when they're happy, when they're sad.

01:24You really wanna get to know your person

01:26so you're not blindsided, right?

01:28When something pops off, you know who you're dealing with.

01:30And then the last tip is don't overstay your welcome.

01:35If you see red flags, exit stage left.

01:38Don't wait, don't stick around until you can't get out,

01:41until you're caught up

01:42and your feelings are all caught up and you're emotional.

01:45The first sign you see, believe it.

01:48Believe who they are when they show you.

01:51Don't wait around, don't say, oh, it's gonna change.

01:54Don't think you can change that person.

01:56When they show you who they are

01:58and it doesn't align with your values, your goals,

02:01where you're going, leave the situation alone.

02:04So those are my three tips on relationship in 2025.
