Well Services Petroleum Company Limited has sourced an international company to get specialised equipment to recover the body of missing Rig 110 employee Pete Phillip.

00:00In an update on Thursday, World Services said a foreign company, which it did not name,
00:05is a highly regarded provider of advanced equipment and has the requisite expertise
00:10for the type of operation that has to be carried out.
00:14World Services indicated that this will allow the recovery efforts for Pete Phillip to move
00:18at a faster pace while being compliant with all the safety and environmental protocols.
00:25The search for the missing employee was suspended twice to allow World Services to secure the
00:30site and to get the necessary equipment to move forward, as the company has maintained
00:35that the safety of personnel working on the recovery is of paramount importance.
00:40The company said transparent and regular communication remains ongoing with Phillip's family, especially
00:46his wife, Candace Phillip.
00:49It further revealed that a WhatsApp group has been created to enable direct and timely
00:53updates with the family.
00:55The last update was provided yesterday, January 22nd.
01:00Phillip has been missing for a month now.
01:02He and 74 other personnel were on Rig 110 on December 22nd when part of the structure
01:08collapsed into the sea.
01:10All others were evacuated safely, but Phillip was unaccounted for.
01:15On January 10th, World Services said it believed it had discovered the location of Phillip.
01:20January 17th, 2025 marked what would have been Phillip's 46th birthday.
01:26His family was invited out to the site of Rig 110 to celebrate his life.
