I am pleased to advise that a consortium of BPTT and Shell have completed the seismic surveys

of the Deepwater production-sharing contracts for Block 25A, 25B and 27.

We will be engaging these companies in the next steps of their programs.

Meanwhile, Minister of Energy, Dr. Rudel Munilau, says the government, upon taking office,

noted the importance of restoring investor confidence in the country.

Commenting on the 2025 Deepwater Bid Round by way of a statement from his ministry,

the minister is expressing gratitude to China National Offshore Oil Corporation International

and the consortium of STIT Energy Limited and Ground Ports Limited

for the interest expressed through the four bids received.

Dr. Munilau has signed an intention to strengthen cooperation with leading international energy companies

in deepwater technology.

According to the minister, this is to ensure the optimal development of the country's deepwater hydrocarbon resources.

Dr. Munilau adds that he is looking forward to the announcement of the outcome of the bid evaluation process
