00:00The Minister of Energy Ernesto Kayser has provided an update on British Petroleum TNT and Shell Limited
00:06stemming from their production-sharing contracts for three blocks attained in the 2021 Deepwater Bid Round.
00:14I am pleased to advise that a consortium of BPTT and Shell have completed the seismic surveys
00:20of the Deepwater production-sharing contracts for Block 25A, 25B and 27.
00:30We will be engaging these companies in the next steps of their programs.
00:34Meanwhile, Minister of Energy, Dr. Rudel Munilau, says the government, upon taking office,
00:41noted the importance of restoring investor confidence in the country.
00:46Commenting on the 2025 Deepwater Bid Round by way of a statement from his ministry,
00:51the minister is expressing gratitude to China National Offshore Oil Corporation International
00:56and the consortium of STIT Energy Limited and Ground Ports Limited
01:01for the interest expressed through the four bids received.
01:05Dr. Munilau has signed an intention to strengthen cooperation with leading international energy companies
01:12in deepwater technology.
01:14According to the minister, this is to ensure the optimal development of the country's deepwater hydrocarbon resources.
01:21Dr. Munilau adds that he is looking forward to the announcement of the outcome of the bid evaluation process
01:27within the next three months.
