Alexander “delighted” with Bradford win at Villa

Bradford City boss Graham Alexander shared his delight at his side’s win the EFL Trophy.

00:00It was a great start for us and to go 2-0 up was a great boost.

00:10I thought we allowed them back in with the goal,

00:14I thought we could have done a little bit better,

00:16I thought we could have worked a bit harder to prevent that.

00:19It brought the game back into the balance again,

00:22but we put a foot down again and scored the third.

00:25We should have took advantage of some really good moments

00:28in the first half, the positions we got in, the overloads,

00:31we got into the box loads of times.

00:33I was looking for more of a real end product and goal threat

00:38in the first half especially.

00:40In the second half it was a bit more of an even contest,

00:44but we still had opportunities, but they did as well.

00:47We were delighted to win the game 3-1

00:49and give the loyal supporters who travelled all the way down

00:52midweek night something to cheer about.

00:55It's a great venue, but we wanted to win.
