00:00Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander said that his side's 5-1 victory in the EFL Trophy
00:06at Valley Parade against Everton's under-21s was a positive evening.
00:11A really positive performance, great result. I thought the players approached it exactly
00:17how we would hope and expect to be fair because we know the group and we've seen how they've
00:24trained without a game at the end of the week being available. It's been 12 days since we've
00:33played last and the training's been full on, proper intense. No relaxation from the players,
00:43having that to get after them in any training sessions. They've been at it and I think you
00:49can see that in the performance tonight. I think from minute one we got about our job as expected
00:54and produced a really good, strong performance.
00:58How pleased has it been to see that application during the week? 12 days is quite a long time
01:03in football without a game but how pleased are you to see that during the week from them?
01:07I think the thing is you need to work hard but I think we've got a group that like to work hard.
01:13And Bradford City's Jenson Metcalf was pleased with the result too and said that the victory
01:20was good for the lads in the squad following full time.
01:24Yeah, the assessment is good for the lads after the international break to get back out there
01:30and perform like that and bang at it. But firstly I just want to wish Joel a speedy recovery.
01:35It's never easy to go down like that. It doesn't look great from the first sight but I know
01:40the medical staff at Everton through my injury time there like he's got the great support
01:45and I'm sure they'll do everything to get him back out on the grass as soon as possible.
01:48Yeah, everyone at the club echoes that as well. You're familiar for yourself today.
01:53How was it facing up against them and seeing some familiar faces?
01:56Yeah, it was good to be honest but I didn't really think too much into it.
01:59I just thought I've got to do what I do and just play well.
02:03Obviously it's a club you've spent a lot of time for throughout the years.
02:07Were there some good memories you could sort of reflect on or you can reflect on after tonight's game?
02:11Yeah, like they'll never go away from me. Their memories I'll cherish.
