00:00body of a missing Princestown man was found badly decomposed and tied to a tree
00:05off Fairfield Estate Road, Princestown on Friday afternoon. 38-year-old Matthew
00:11Badoli, a father of three, was last seen on CCTV footage on December 17th 2024
00:18walking through Princestown on his way home but he never got there. He was later
00:24reported missing and searches by relatives at times assisted by two
00:29different hunters search-and-rescue teams have been ongoing since then.
00:33Speaking off-camera with TV6 News this afternoon, one sibling said
00:38information led Matthew's brother and two sisters to the gruesome discovery.
00:44Whoever, whatever, placed his phone on his wallet by my brother's house, his slipper by my
00:50mother's house and he was nowhere to be found. So that's why somebody passed, I
00:54don't know who, at a little garden or whatever, they saw something looking
00:58like a body by a tree after a pond. So the only pond that we know is this pond and we
01:02followed the trail and actually came up to a second pond and that is where we actually saw him.
01:06The man's hands were bound and rope was tied around his neck and then to a tree
01:12despite being badly decomposed based on visible arm tattoos and the clothing
01:17relatives identified the body as that of Matthew. A relative speculated about a
01:22possible motive for the brutal murder as others complained not enough is being
01:28done by the TTPS to get a handle on crime nationwide.
01:33I don't know him to be no drugs, no bad boy thing or nothing like that, but I know he
01:40does go and play roulette, go and play whappy and stuff. I'm also hearing that he
01:44make a hefty earnings a night in whappy and he had over $15,000 in his
01:50possession prior to money he had in his possession what he won by a roulette
01:54machine earlier on the same evening.
01:57Every day I hear somebody go missing, they come and end up being found dead, some are found alive, but I think that not
02:04enough is being done by the TTPS and even business owners because we have been trying
02:09on numerous occasions using different avenues to try to get footage from the
02:13store owners. I'm not saying it's their business to give us their footage but we
02:17tried all how to get help and it's like everything was like at a standstill.
