00:00I want you, Mr. Prime Minister, to make the best move. I would recommend that when you
00:06wish to demit office, you must call the elections also at the same time. Let the people of Trinidad
00:15and Tobago, Tobago and Trinidad, choose their Prime Minister. Let them hear his presentations,
00:22the arguments. Let them see his team and let them choose their Prime Minister.
00:27The Duke said the choice of Minister Stuart Young shows that the PNM party is out of touch
00:33with the people on the ground.
00:35So how do you put someone who is out of touch with the black man reality as Prime Minister?
00:43When you do that, when that person resigns or retires, once they are Prime Minister,
00:49that person will collect a pension equal to $87,000 in new salary. Therefore, further
00:57becoming out of touch and out of reality.
01:01Mr. Duke said the choice of Minister Stuart Young is a poor move.
01:06I have no problem with Stuart Young. I know him. Not very well, but I know him well enough
01:11to say he's a young man whom I respect, a man who is academically strong, a man who
01:20is not easily swayed by every opinion. He's a man on the ground. The truth be told, would
01:29the ground accept him? I think it's a poor move.
