Selangor govt provides RM26.5mil aid to 825 schools this year for repair and uprgade

00:00This program, for example, is a program that we have been implementing for more than 15-19 years.

00:11Starting with a budget of around 6 million, I still remember.

00:15Today we have increased to 26.5 million for all schools in the country.

00:26And if we sum up our numbers since the beginning of this program,

00:31it has exceeded more than 285 million.

00:35We give it to schools to ensure that the infrastructure and facilities of these schools are in good condition.

00:45Stepping away from the previous episodes and stories,

00:49where our goal is physical ease,

00:53our dream is to improve the comfort and ability of schools to adapt to new conditions and challenges,

01:02such as digitalization and the like,

01:05starting in 2018, the government has actually started to seriously consider

01:12the value of additional funding that can improve the quality of our education.

01:22I ask the Stengko and the Ministry of Education to be ready,

01:26from 15 January to 28 February,

01:31if possible, we have opened for applications from all schools.

01:36So come back later, it is best to accept the decision,

01:38implement what has been planned,

01:42and also start planning for applications.

01:45I don't ask for much,

01:46on 15 January, we will open for new applications,

01:51where in 2025, every June and July,

01:55after 2025, we will be able to pass and complete the decisions for schools.

02:11we try to see everything,

02:14what are the needs that need to be helped and added value and tidied up.

02:20There are several categories,

02:22the category is the category of independent religious schools,

02:26or among Tafis, Kaffa schools and so on.

02:31The second category is the category of Chinese national schools,

02:33the third category is the category of Tamil national schools,

02:36the fourth category is the category of Chinese secondary schools,

02:38and the fifth category is Mubalik schools.

02:41And now, 26.5 million schools have been allocated,

02:46there is a slight delay,

02:48because that day we tried to change some components,

02:52but in the end we were able to complete it,

02:54so next year we think we can speed up,

02:56in June or July next year,

02:58to allocate to schools.
