00:00The High Court has conditionally stayed the execution of a judgment for 1.4 million ringgit

00:07obtained by Lim Guan Ying against Muhyiddin Yassin, in connection with a defamation suit

00:12over Yayasan Al-Bukhari's taxed-exam status.

00:16Lim's lawyer, Kwok Ngik Siong, said Justice Rosmawa Rozain ordered the former Prime Minister

00:22to pay RM400,000 by December 31 and the remaining RM1 million by January 27.

00:30He said the judge also ordered Muhyiddin to pay Lim RM5,000 in costs.

00:36Lim had earlier opposed Muhyiddin's application to postpone payment of the debt pending the

00:41outcome of his appeal.

00:43Lim said Muhyiddin is a wealthy man who is more than capable of meeting his payment obligations.

00:50On November 8, the High Court ordered Muhyiddin to pay Lim RM1.35 million in damages and RM50,000

00:57in costs, over three defamatory statements posted by the Bersatu president on Facebook

01:03in March last year.
