00:00The High Court granted a penalty of 1.4 million ringgit for the trial of Lim Guan Eng against Muhyiddin Yassin,

00:11for filing a slanderous complaint relating to the status of neglecting Al-Bukhari's tax evasion.

00:17Gua Ngat Siong, representing Lim, said Judge Rosmawa Rozin ordered the former Prime Minister to pay RM400,000

00:25on 31 December and another RM1 million on 27 January.

00:31Lim, a former Finance Minister, opposed Muhyiddin's claim of tax evasion

00:37while awaiting an appeal from the High Court.

00:42He said the amount ordered on Muhyiddin, although large, did not require a special condition for tax evasion.

00:51According to him, Muhyiddin is a rich and more than capable person to pay the tax.

00:57Lim, depending on the statement of the Prime Minister's Assets Regulatory Commission,

01:01was appointed as the head of the Malaysian Tax Administration in 2020.

01:05It shows that Muhyiddin has assets worth between RM10 million to RM15 million

01:11and has a monthly income of RM93,841.65.
