00:00Well, officers were called to this street here in Wentworthville around 6.30 a.m. this
00:06morning following reports of a stabbing.
00:09When they arrived, they found the body of a 64-year-old man with stab wounds to his
00:13neck.
00:14He was pronounced dead at the scene, but he's yet to be formally identified.
00:17Now we understand a 60-year-old woman was also at the property at the time of the incident,
00:22but she's uninjured.
00:23A short time ago, police arrested a 34-year-old man.
00:27He's been taken to Granville Police Station, where he's currently being questioned.
00:31Now this morning, forensic officers have arrived at the property.
00:34They're now combing through the house, trying to find evidence that will help officers get
00:38to the bottom of what happened here.
00:40The street has been cordoned off for several hours, and there is a heavy police presence.
00:45Locals we've spoken to say that this is generally a really quiet area, and things like this
00:49just don't happen here.
