Man charged with murder over death of a man in Adelaide’s west

A man has been charged with murder, over the death of a sixty-year-old man in Adelaide’s western suburbs.

00:00A man has been arrested over the alleged murder of a 60-year-old found here in Cowandilla.

00:07Police say that the suspect, a 32-year-old man from the area, was known to the victim

00:11and is also currently receiving medical treatment.

00:14Police say that he injured his leg during a series of alleged break-ins nearby in Torrensville.

00:19Police were called to Henley Beach Road after a number of alarms of businesses were set

00:23off.

00:24Police then discovered that several of the businesses had been broken into and allegedly

00:27found the suspect at the scene.

00:29Police say that inquiries with the man then led them here to this home where they found

00:33the body of a 60-year-old man.

00:35Police believe that the victim was a resident of the home and that the two men were known

00:39to one another.

00:41Police have been here this morning with the road closed off.

00:43They've been taking evidence bags out of the property and speaking to neighbours too.

00:47Police do say that they're expecting this man to be charged with murder later today

00:51as well as other property-related offences once he undergoes medical treatment and anybody
