00:00Hi, and welcome back to another episode of The Land's Last Lot, where we take a look

00:03at some of the stud sale trends and results over the past fortnight.

00:07I'm journalist, Elke Demny.

00:09And I'm livestock editor, Rebecca Nagy.

00:11Well, it's been another busy, busy fortnight with ramp sales.

00:15Elke, what have you noticed?

00:16Yeah, so Bec, agents across the state have said that the season's held firm to better

00:21throughout all breeds, with most sales seeing a slight increase to last.

00:25The main driver of this has been a demand for volume and increased confidence across

00:29the industry.

00:31Increased confidence is always good news.

00:33In the Marinos, there have been some good results.

00:36Mumble Bones sold 344 of 381 rams to average $3,017, with a South Australian buyer taking

00:44the top ram for $14,000.

00:47South Australian and WA Studs partnered to buy the $24,000 top price ram at Richmond

00:52Marinos, with the Studs selling 101 of 120 rams to average $2,227.

01:00Bogo reached a top of $6,000 twice to average $2,780 across 167 of 189 rams, while Bundilla

01:09cleared 298 of 300 rams to average $2,842 and top at $8,000.

01:17Ejilabra also had a good result, a full clearance of 158 rams, reaching a top of $7,000 four

01:24times to average $2,860.

01:29In the Meatsheep, Springwaters Pole Dorset achieved a full clearance of 15 stud rams

01:33to a top of $12,000 to average $5,133, while 216 flock rams averaged $2,216.

01:43In the South, Dell Dorpers also cleared the shed with 75 rams sold to $15,500 to average

01:50$4,064, while 32 White Dorper rams sold to $12,000 to average $3,531.

01:58Taddekeel Pole Dorsets reached a top of $25,000 with 17 of 21 stud rams sold to average $8,059.

02:06In the flock rams, 46 of 68 sold to a $3,000 top to average $1,739.
