00:10What it really is about tonight is recognising those people that have made a real contribution to our industry.
00:15So let's begin to celebrate the very best in Australian agriculture.
00:21Being a finalist in itself is a fantastic achievement so congratulations to all of you on just becoming a finalist
00:27to be here.
00:29It's about looking beyond what it is to just exist or to get by or to be expedient and to
00:35make the most of what you see in front of you.
00:37Because that's all you can do every day is deal with what's in front of you.
00:40And if you can make the most of that each time then it's amazing what will come about.
00:44And we're looking at it tonight in what can come about.
00:48I think the dairy industry is heading in the right direction.
00:50It's good that something like this event, this scale is actually, it's highlighted the industry.
00:56It's unreal to see everyone here that's passionate and keen to do what they're doing.
01:01Tonight's Nutrien Next Gen Leader Award celebrates young people who are already making a meaningful impact across the agricultural sector.
01:09What unites our nominees tonight is their willingness to push the boundaries, embrace change and turn ideas into meaningful results.
01:17Being able to innovate is one thing but actually finding people who will adopt it and we've seen that so
01:23much in Australia that we're just such great adopters and that's why we punch way above our weight in the
01:28world in agriculture.
01:30Our next award celebrates something that sits at the very heart of our industry, our people.
01:36Every single person who's part of this chat becomes part of the ripple effect and what we are doing is
01:43shifting the most ancient, impossible, hard to shift narrative and culture of all time.
01:49I swear to God I never thought it could happen and here we are.
01:54It's really important that we're recognising the wonderful work that women are doing more and more of and being recognised
01:59more for across the sector.
02:02A real privilege to be able to present this award.
02:05Agriculture is the foundation of human survival.
02:09I hope that I can continue to influence, inspire and elevate the sector.
02:14I have loved my entire life and I encourage every one of you in this room to do the same.
