00:00Couldn't believe it this year sort of thing. We just we thought we just had to enter one because
00:04we won it last year and so no really couldn't believe it. We're pretty stoked. They noted the
00:10head sizes are really good, filled pretty well. It's a crop of Sun Master wheat. It's a mid-season
00:15variety and that's when we sort of had our break with the rain to start sowing. Last year was
00:21favours, a break crop, and the year before we had barley. The judges did an estimate of 4.25
00:27tonnes the hectare. I think there will be a bit of protein this year with the dry finish but just
00:32depends on screenings and stuff. We're hoping the variety's good enough to have good quality grain.
00:38So mainly we're just doing yield estimates. This is the biggest part of the competition.
00:42So just doing head and tiller counts and then we're just using the show society's
00:48marking rubric which takes into account disease, weeds, evenness of the crop, things like that.
00:53Sceptre wheat. I'm sowing at 45 kilos to the hectare, 80 kilos of MAP, 70 kilos of MAP and 100
01:04kilos of urea after faba beans.
