It not quite the return of Jedi.

But it's the return of the former captain in Kevin Molino for T&T.

The former MLS star, is back from retirement and took time to explain his reasons for returning to the red white and black.

00:00It's never easy coming back, something former TNT captain Kevin Molino himself acknowledged.
00:06But the 34-year-old, who retired after TNT's 2023 Gold Cup campaign, explained his reasoning
00:12for making a return to the national setup.
00:14When you look at things in Trinidad at the moment, you know, we need something to bring
00:20joy to people.
00:21And I think coming back and trying to go to a World Cup will be the ideal thing, and not
00:26just the World Cup.
00:27We've got two important games that are coming up, and I'm just looking forward to it together
00:31with the group.
00:32And hopefully we can win and bring some joy to people's faces.
00:36Having two former captains in Molino and Jovian Jones back could prove timely with Levi Garcia
00:41and Tyrese Spicer both out.
00:43And Molino is excited to work with the younger players and the older ones too.
00:47Yeah, there's always room for growth.
00:49Even if we win the two games, we could still improve.
00:52But excited, as I said before, excited to be with the guys, I'm excited to see some
00:56of the new faces.
00:57Some of the guys I've been playing for since under 16, 15, to be here and see them here.
01:03It showed that they have some sort of commitment towards the national team.
01:06And I'm just happy to be here and to be part of it and looking forward to the game tomorrow.
01:11But the question remains, having retired before, how committed is he to the TNT setup?
01:17That's the plan.
01:18But it all depends on my body.
01:19How I feel.
01:20Now is a period of time that I need to take care of my body and longevity.
01:25If I want to go on to go to the World Cup and even more, I need to take care of myself.
01:29And once I do that the right way, definitely I'll be available for the squad and definitely
01:36be available for anything to help the national team.
