00:23The court dismissed the review, noting that the modus operandi of the murders was directly

00:28related to the applicants' convictions.

00:31Fellow convict R. Katavarayan withdrew his application for a sentence review, lawyer

00:35Latifa Koya told the court.

00:38The trio had sought to have their death sentences commuted to imprisonment under the Mandatory

00:42Death Penalty Abolition Act 2023, which allows judges discretion in sentencing.

00:48According to past reports, Susilawati and three others were brutally murdered in 2010

00:53after they met with Pazwanaban to discuss a multi-million ringgit land deal.
