00:00We are delighted to announce the inaugural SPJMR's Technology and Societal Impact Conference
00:16to be hosted in February 2025.
00:19The academic track is very interesting.
00:22We are looking at the confluence of how we are serving the mission of our school, which
00:29is influencing practice, with advancing wise innovation.
00:33Now, there are many conferences that might be held on this topic and there is academic
00:38literature in this field as well, but the conference and the academic track that we
00:44are hosting is quite unique.
00:46Let me explain two or three unique differences of the academic track in particular.
00:52First of all, it is one of its kind, first time ever that we are bringing together multi-stakeholders
01:00who are academic scholars, practitioners, public policy makers, and students who are
01:07going to discuss and debate about this topic.
01:10Second, we are going to have integrative talks by distinguished scholars such as Professor
01:16Yongjin Yoo from Case Western Reserve University, who is going to look at the comprehensive
01:23approach and the breadth and depth of this topic.
01:26And thirdly, you will have expert feedback on your own research from practitioners and
01:33academic scholars who are going to look at your research for, of course, enhancement
01:38of quality.
01:39Putting all this together, it is going to be a very exciting and innovative event that
01:46you will be part of.
01:48We invite submission from traditional management disciplines and interdisciplinary perspectives
01:54to come together to ideate about the intersectionality of technology and society.
01:59So, if you are an academic scholar, PhD student, a practitioner, or coming from different walks
02:06of life, you are invited and welcome to attend this conference.
02:11So, let's come together to ideate on the possibilities of integrating rigor and relevance on the
02:18interesting topic of technology and societal impact.
02:22So, join us for a very enriching experience.
