However, a significant amount of cash was found in plain sight in the house.

Scans in hospital did not find any serious injuries caused by the fall.
00:39
However, he sadly passed away at hospital on Saturday.
00:42
Further investigation was undertaken following the man's death
00:46
after concerns were raised regarding potential third-party involvement.
00:50
CCTV and house-to-house inquiries were conducted,
00:53
which identified no suspicious activity.
00:56
And after speaking with the man's children,
00:58
they were happy that all the money was accounted for and none had been stolen.
01:04
Derbyshire County Council has officially started work to repair a Bakewell Bridge
01:08
and remove a decade's worth of padlocks left there by visitors as symbols of love and memory.
01:13
And after years of argument over the project, it appears there will be a relatively happy ending.
01:18
The local authority started work yesterday
01:21
to repair the 25-year-old Weir footbridge over the River Wye
01:24
and address corrosion to the steel structure.
01:27
Early in the summer, the council had asked people to remove locks where possible,
01:31
recognising many held great emotional significance.
01:34
And while some people did manage to find the keys or retrieve the locks by force,
01:38
there were still thousands in place as council workers set about diversion signs to close off the bridge.
01:43
Those locks left will not end up on the scrap heap, however,
01:46
thanks to a plan hatched by a committed Facebook campaign.
01:49
A spokesperson for Derbyshire County Council said,
01:53
Work starts on the Weir footbridge in Bakewell
01:55
and we'd like to thank everyone who removed their lock from the bridge
01:58
and took care not to damage other locks or the bridge structure.
02:01
We've been working closely with members of the Save the Love Locks at Bakewell group
02:05
to coordinate the careful removal of the locks to their future home at Thornbridge Hall.
02:09
Our thanks to all the members of the group for their help in arranging this.
