00:02 Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally shot in a field in Derbyshire.

00:08 Officers were alerted to an incident on the 29th of January in which a man had been shot

00:13 in a field in Brettby. Charles Kinston, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr Kinston's family

00:19 have asked for privacy as they continue to come to terms with their loss. A second man in his 30s

00:25 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has been released on police bail as inquiries

00:29 continue. DCI Matt Croome from the East Midlands Major Crime Team said "We understand that this

00:35 incident has had a significant impact on Mr Kinston's friends, family and the wider community.

00:40 Due to the ongoing investigation, we are limited about the information that can be passed on to

00:45 the public at this time. However, I want to be clear that the two individuals involved in this

00:50 incident are known to one another and officers have mitigated any risk to the wider public.
