00:03Derbyshire Police say a man has been pronounced dead

00:06after an incident on the M1 motorway near Chesterfield over the weekend.

00:10At around 9.30pm on Saturday evening,

00:13Derbyshire Police received reports of a concern for safety

00:16as a person was in the road between junctions 29A and 29SB of the M1.

00:22Emergency services tended and a man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

00:26A Derbyshire Police statement said,

00:28The man's family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

00:33Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

00:35There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death

00:39and a file has been prepared for the coroner.

00:42The incident led to the closure of the M1 overnight

00:45with the motorway reopening in the morning.

00:49Chesterfield's Brampton Brewery will be taking over the reins of a village pub near its base.

00:55The brewery announced this weekend that it will be adding The Lamb at Holymoor Side

00:59to its portfolio of pubs which already includes the Rosencrown and Tramway Tavern in Brampton

01:04and the Glassworks on Sheffield Road in Chesterfield.
