00:00Flag man, the flag man is dead and former Olympic Committee President Brian Lewis is
00:05among those paying tribute to the renowned TNT flag man, Joey Richardson, following his
00:09sudden passing.
00:11The Canuck Secretary General, who had a great relationship with the man he fondly called
00:15posh, described Richardson as a true patriot whose unwavering dedication to the national
00:20teams and athletes was unmatched.
00:23Lewis also reminisced that Richardson was a big supporter of the TTOC's 10-gold-by-2024
00:30initiative.
00:31Joey was what you would call a true, true patriot.
00:41Wherever Trinidad and Tobago was playing, wherever Trinidad and Tobago was doing, Joey
00:50Richardson, a.k.a. Mr. Flag Man, was always there.
00:57He was such a fantastic, affable character, a true, true patriot, a true supporter of
01:11Team TTO, Trinidad and Tobago, sportsmen and sportswomen.
01:16He would always call me to ask when the athlete's returning because he always wanted to be there
01:23to show his support.
