00:00The Caribbean Premier League's Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Advisory Board is
00:04launching the CPL Hit for Six initiative. The program was created by the board
00:09which teamed up with Barbados-based fitness instructor Spinney to create a
00:14six-minute cricket themed high-intensity interval training session. Board member
00:20Dr. Mariam Abdul Richards provided some background on the program. We are
00:24partnering as Caribbean people to promote and to really enhance health
00:29education, health awareness. We are working together with our islands and
00:34throughout the Caribbean to come up with a Caribbean based workout that can
00:38tackle and reduce the impact of those comorbidities that we've seen impact us
00:43high blood pressure and diabetes. Fans can even get involved during this year's
00:48CPL games but for those who can't be at the games there's nothing to fear as the
00:53workout is also available online. The intention would be to have fans actually
00:58participate in the Hit for Six during games and at the stadium and the CPL
01:04would be reaching out to relevant persons in each country to really get
01:08that group of persons together but of course via our Instagram page CPL T20
01:13the workouts are available. Dr. Abdul Richards also announced another
01:18initiative which goes hand in hand with the Hit for Six initiative. Dominic
