This country has a new State enterprise which already has its Board directors.

The announcement about the newly formed LandmarkTT Properties Limited was made by the Land and Legal Affairs Ministry on Tuesday.

00:00Five directors have been appointed to the board of Trinidad and Tobago's newly incorporated state enterprise, Landmark TT Properties Limited.

00:28When the Ministry made the announcement on Tuesday, there was no word regarding executive positions at Landmark TT.
00:36The Land and Legal Affairs Ministry said cabinet agreed to the establishment of a public-private partnership, or PPP, for
00:43state land investment and development to bridge the gap between land availability and the increasing demand for unsubsidized, high-quality
00:52housing.
00:53This is different from the mandate of the state-owned Housing Development Corporation, the HDC, which provides housing subsidized by
01:01the state.
01:02The HDC falls under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
01:06It was in October of last year, Barataria San Juan MP Hossein was appointed as the Land and Legal Affairs
01:13Minister due to changes Prime Minister Kamala Pesad-Besessa made to her cabinet.
01:18This resulted in the new ministry responsible for land and legal affairs.
01:22On Tuesday, the ministry said that the newly appointed board will oversee Landmark TT Properties Limited's core responsibilities, including identifying
01:31strategic locations for residential development, monitoring construction to ensure compliance with national frameworks, determining profit-sharing structures and payment models,
01:43managing the marketing and sale of completed residential units.
01:47The Land and Legal Affairs Ministry said that under the PPP model, the government will provide state lands to private
01:54sector investors and developers for the construction of fully planned housing communities.
01:59The ministry said this initiative will mainly target mid- to upper-income earners.
