00:00There's all these calls for Anthony Davis to slot in the starting lineup over Joel Embiid.
00:04But in my opinion, and I felt that way after the first couple games,
00:06because honestly, I think through and through Anthony Davis was Team USA's best player
00:10through the five exhibition games.
00:12But I kind of shifted my stance because Bam and AD have sent away any drives,
00:19any shot attempts in the paint.
00:20They have been a brick wall back there.
00:22So to mix that up, I don't think Steve Kerr should break that second unit up.
00:26They are playing lockdown defense. Tatum can defend.
00:29Anthony Edwards can defend. In that last game,
00:32he actually subbed out Tyrese Halliburton and gave Derek White his minutes.
00:35And Derek White can defend.
00:36So that's a second unit that you're talking about having the Stones to lock in
00:39and play some defense.
00:40That's a second unit that can do that.
00:41And then if Kevin Durant ends up in the starting lineup,
00:43and let's say Drew Holliday happens to go to that second unit,
00:46we're talking about a team that is going to lock down anybody that any other country
00:50can put on.
00:50Automatic.
00:52So, you know, you talk about Bogdanovich.
00:54Like he's a scary scorer, but he's not an unstoppable scorer.
00:58And Jokic is obviously the player that they have to worry about,
01:01but I really like how they defended him in the exhibition game,
01:04where they would have AD guard him straight up,
01:07and then have Bam Adebayo help side anytime that Jokic tried to,
01:10you know, play bully ball.
01:12With those two guys, those are two of the best interior defenders in the NBA.
01:15And then sometimes they would switch off.
01:17They would have Bam play him straight up and have AD help off,
01:20and same deal.
01:20So, you know, that's a second unit that if they really need to dig in and get a
01:24stop, that's the front court that I'm putting out there.
01:26Joel Embiid, great offensive talent.
01:28He's struggling to find his role on this team,
01:30but those two in the front court together,
01:32that is Team USA's key to victory, in my opinion.
