00:00Good morning to all of us, and the rainy season that we are experiencing in almost the whole country
00:06due to the typhoon and typhoon.
00:09And here is our update on the typhoon that we are watching right now.
00:12And what you can see in our latest image is that almost the whole country is experiencing a heavy sky
00:20and we are experiencing scattered rains in Luzon and Visayas.
00:25Especially in the western section of Luzon and Visayas
00:29where we are experiencing heavy rains from time to time.
00:35This typhoon Karina is approaching Itbayat Batanes, which is 290 kilometers northeast of Itbayat Batanes.
00:47This typhoon is strong, so the strong wind near the center of the typhoon Karina is at 155 kilometers per hour
00:56and the downpour is at 190 kilometers per hour.
01:01We are still expecting that it will move in the direction northwest, northwestward.
01:07Northwestward, we are expecting that it will head to Taiwan at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
01:18So in our forecast track, we are still expecting that it will head to Taiwan before it leaves our PER.
01:29It is estimated that on Thursday morning or early in the morning, the typhoon Karina will be outside.
01:43Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is still high in Batanes.
01:51Signal No. 1 is in Cagayan, along with Boboyan Islands, eastern portion of Isabela, northern portion of Apayao, and northern portion of Ilocos Norte.
02:04So in our image, the areas that have Tropical Wind Signal are in the extreme areas of our Northern Luzon.
02:20So in these areas, there are areas that are in severe weather, where there is strong rain and strong wind.
02:31And earlier, around 5 o'clock in the morning, we issued a Heavy Rainfall Warning.
02:37The areas in red are Metro Manila, Rizal, and Bataan.
02:45Orange are in Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, and Zambales.
02:50Yellow are in Tarlac, Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon.
02:55In these areas, we expect strong rain because of the Southwest Monsoon.
03:03In these areas, there is a possibility of flooding and landslides.
03:09So our advice is to be careful and alert due to flood and landslides.
03:20Because of the Tropical Wind, we expect strong rain until tomorrow afternoon in Batanes, Boboyan Islands, northern and eastern portion of Mainland Cagayan, and Ilocos Sur.
03:38Bunga Cagayan, along with Ilocos Norte, La Union, Abra, Benguet, Apayau, and eastern portion of Isabela.
03:50Mostly here in Northern Luzon, we expect strong rain because of the storm.
04:01Tomorrow afternoon until Thursday afternoon, this is what we expect outside the park.
04:10But we expect strong rain in Batanes, Boboyan Islands because of the storm.
04:17I would also like to add that in the southern part of Luzon, along with Metro Manila,
04:30the western Visayas, we expect strong rain because of the storm.
04:38So along with the whole of Luzon and western Visayas,
04:44today we expect strong rain.
04:48So we would like to remind you that we should continue to be careful and alert because of the strong rain.
05:02Especially during the continuous rain, there is still a risk of flooding and landslides.
05:13And in the location of...
05:17We still expect strong wind from the northwest.
05:23Today, we expect strong wind from Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino,
05:33Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Visayas,
05:44Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Dabao Region.
05:50And then tomorrow, we still expect strong wind, mostly from Luzon.
05:57This is from Baboyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Central Luzon,
06:06Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao.
06:15And earlier, we issued a gale warning because we are expecting high waves,
06:26where it can reach 4.5 meters or almost 5 meters because it's in Baguio, Batanes,
06:32Northern Coast of Cagayan, along with Baboyan Islands.
06:35So, in other places, even without a gale warning,
06:40we are warning those who are planning to go abroad,
06:48that even without a gale warning, because our time now is harsh,
06:55and if the wind is strong, like what I mentioned earlier,
06:59we still expect strong winds today and tomorrow,
07:03and then, it is forecasted that it will rain heavily because of the high tides.
07:15That is our update on the Baguio-Carina.
07:19From Pagasa, I am Alzar D. Aurelio.
07:32you
