The Sandiganbayan's fourth division has deferred the arraignment of former senator Ramon Revilla Jr. for graft to Feb. 9, 2026. During the hearing on Jan. 23, 2026, one of Revilla's lawyers argued to division Chairman and Associate Justice Michael Musngi that they have a pending motion for reinvestigation and a motion to quash the case. Musngi told the lawyers for the defense that the arraignment would go on despite any motion to quash, further asking if they were in a position to defer the case. Musngi ordered the prosecution to comment within five calendar days to on the motions by the defense. One of Revilla's co-accused, Engineer Emelita Juat, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
