Clothing brand marks 10 years of operations in Cebu

Netizens have been sharing decade-long throwbacks this 2026, and amid the trend, a global clothing brand marks 10 years of operations in Cebu. UNIQLO Philippines Marketing Director Jan Jizelle Ang said the company has focused on offering clothing that is functional and versatile, adding that Cebu has played a key role in its growth outside Metro Manila. The brand now has five Cebu branches, including SM City Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, Ayala Central Bloc, SM Seaside Cebu, and SM City J Mall. The company has also provided aid to communities affected by natural disasters, including donations of AIRism items, hygiene kits, and pre-loved clothing through the RE.UNIQLO program.

00:00So, well first and foremost, yung theme natin is tagpang salamat, celebrating 10 years since yung important yung tagpang salamat, alam ko, very ano siya, pero it's really our way of saying thank you, yun po yung theme natin for 10 years because we want to thank the Cebu community, the two customers that we have na patunoy tayo ang sinaportohan, so from one store, we're now five stores, and part of the thank you also is actually our employees also have stayed with us for quite a long time.
00:30So, share ko nga kanina, from up until now, meron kaming eight, five million employees, na who's been with us since we've opened, and then at the same time, we've also grown, so 300 na po yung employees namin, so through our employees, we thank our employees, but through our employees, I think we show our thank you for our community also.
00:54So, yun nga, as part of our 10 years, again, a tagpang salamat moment, maraming kaming pakulog, and we really timed it with silunglog, kasi, you know, it's a celebration, and what better way to celebrate than the big celebration of Cebu, di ba?
01:12Um, so, um, meron kaming mga pagolog, yung partner ko in Abaka, um, yung may mga rakur friends ko tayo, sa stores, na sa stores.
01:21Ah, Cebu, only ha, um, tapos may mga promos din kami na exclusive, Cebu lang rin ang meron.
01:27Um, and then at the same time, meron kaming mga, um, gifts with purchase na luggage tag, Cebu lang rin yung meron diyan.
01:35And most important, we created designs exclusive for Cebu in partnership with our local artists in the area.

02:06How did the collaboration with, what's the name of the artist?

02:18It's exclusive to Cebu because Miriam is actually at Cebuana.
02:22And how we found out, because with our partner Abaka also,
02:26she actually created one of the tops.

02:33I think it's one of those also that's very integrated to the Cebuana community.
02:37So parang sabi, oh, maganda yung idea.
02:39And then, I think one of the new thing talaga is,
02:42we want to advocate kasi talaga creativity.
02:45Because this is actually a customized shirt.
02:47So, may mga pre-printed.
02:50But you can actually, especially in Seaside,
02:52pwede niyong naruin yung designs.
02:54Pwede niyong iyan yung shape and all that.
02:56Kaya, then you can print on the same day.
02:58So it's really a practice of creativity.
03:00So, with creativity, sure, dapat local artists, di ba?
03:04So isang artist, di na?
03:06Mm-hmm.
03:07For, ano, for this design.
03:09So she created, um, around nine designs?
03:12Um, so this is one of them that I'm wearing.
03:15Tapos, yung makikita niyo sa store kung makandaan kayo, no?
03:18Um, she actually created, ano, mga Cebuano slats.
03:23Um, so merong mga, ano, amping, um, pohon, mga ganon.
03:27Um, and then there's Naguapa Cebuano design also.
03:31So, naparong feeling po, as I say, about, you know, the Cebu characteristic.
03:36Going back to our milestones at 10 years, ma'am.
03:38How important Cebu market to Uniqlo to Alec?

03:44How is it help to expand the brand?
03:46Like?
03:47Naku, sobrang important.
03:48Um, because I think when we look at progress, no?
03:51As a, as a keyword na lang.
03:53Cebu is one of those that is progressing very fast.
03:56Um, and I think when you look at the Uniqlo journey, yung progress din natin medyo fast.
04:02So, I feel like it's very important that we're able to really integrate with the Cebuano community.
04:08Um, because, um, if progress yung may isip ko, parang kailangan sabay tayo with the Cebuano.
04:15Um, and that's why we're celebrating this.
04:18We're investing a lot also, um, in the community.
04:21Because, again, it, it needs to be, um, talagang together with the community.
04:28Uh, pwede mo natin madiscuss this from yung mga social responsibilities po ramin sa community here in Cebu.
04:35Lalo na po na, um, um, but marami-rami din yung masa ko na dumating niya sa Cebuano.
04:41Um, um, um, nakagusta, uh, actually very good na dinescuss mo yan, no.
