00:00Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson Commodore Jay Tariela said that the threats from Beijing will not stop him from exposing China's illegal activities in the West Philippine Sea as the world war continued between him and the Chinese government on Friday, January 23rd.
00:18He said this after China's foreign ministry summoned the Philippines ambassador to Beijing, Jaime Flor Cruz, over caricatures shown by Tariela depicting Chinese President Xi Jinping during a recent presentation showing China's actions in the disputed waters.
00:34The Chinese government later filed a solemn representation and strong protest against Tariela for making supposedly inflammatory, confrontational, misleading, and baseless remarks against China on maritime issues.
00:49Earlier, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Goja Kun urged Manila to stop tolerating Tariela's provocations that could disrupt relations between the two countries.
00:59The PCG spokesman dismissed these claims, arguing that exposing the truth on China's actions in the West Philippine Sea is not a form of provocation.
