00:00Penang Pakatan Harapan Chairman Chow Korniau has conceded defeat in the Sungai Bakar by

00:08He said unofficial results indicated a clear victory for Perikatan national candidate Abidin

00:13Ismail with a larger majority than in the state elections last year.

00:19Chow also said the results showed that PH has failed to convince the voters on national,

00:27He said PH would conduct a post-mortem to analyse the campaign's weaknesses and strengths.

00:33According to unofficial results, Abidin obtained 14,554 votes while PH's Chuhari Arifin secured

00:4010,285 votes.

00:44The seat fell vacant following the death of Assemblyman Noor Zamri Latif in May.

00:49Zamri, who was the Nebung Tabal Pass division chief, defeated PH candidate Noor Hidayatje

00:54Rose at the state election last year with a majority of 1,563 votes.
