00:00Federal Territories Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa has hit back at Anwar Musa's claim that she

00:05misled parliament over the Kampung Sungai Baru redevelopment issue, calling the accusation

00:10baseless and defamatory.

00:12She said her remarks in the Dewan Rakyat on October 9, which links the land ownership

00:16transfer to a decision made when Anwar was Federal Territories Minister, was backed by

00:20official government records.

00:22Zaliha added that if Anwar truly believes her remarks were false, he should come forward

00:26with proof instead of making accusations.

00:29She also said that the government's priority is to ensure Kampung Sungai Baru residents

00:33can return home quickly and receive fair compensation.

00:37She told Dewan Rakyat on October 9 that Anwar had rushed the decision to let a developer take

00:42over land in the area for redevelopment.

00:45She said the developer's request was first discussed at a post-cabinet meeting chaired

00:49by Anwar in September 2020, later approved by the Federal Territories Land Executive Committee

00:53in April 2021, and the land transfer was gazetted in just three days.

00:58Anwar, who served as Federal Territories Minister from March 2020 to August 2021, has since

01:04dismissed Zaliha's remarks, saying her statement blaming him for a rushed land approval was

01:08misleading.
