00:16to stem from Elden Ring's acclaimed DLC.

00:38Divine Beast Dancing Lion

00:47For many, this was the first true demonstration of the DLC's difficulty spike, not to mention

00:52the second most publicized boss to entice players back into the lands between.

00:56Needless to say, this constructed beast delivered.

01:09Aside from having wild strikes that are tricky to read, the dancing lion can spew out wind,

01:14ice and lightning on a dime, some of which are easier to avoid than others.

01:18But if that's not enough for you, there is a second one roaming the realm of shadow that

01:22breathes out death blight.

01:24Have fun.

01:33Ancient Dragon Senesax

01:34We've slaughtered every kind of dragon this game has to offer hundreds of times over,

01:46and yet this particular one, for some reason, had us against the rails.

01:50Maybe it's the tighter arena, maybe it's the water expanding the range of its crimson lightning,

01:55or maybe it's just built different on account of being Bael's roommate.

02:07Either way, Senesax gave us way more trouble than the likes of his ghost flame or jagged

02:12At least until we poured all our smithing stones into the Dragon Hunter Katana.

02:22Putrescent Knight

02:23Did someone say Orphan of Kos on a horse?

02:34Because we've got Orphan of Kos on a horse.

02:37Guarding the likes of Saint Trina, this skeletal knight's wide array of sweeps and strikes

02:41with its giant blade demand instant reaction time unless you want to get mauled.

02:45That seed of his doesn't help either.

02:54If it's not faring the knight around the arena, it's acting as a follow-up attack.

02:58Oh, and it can summon immensely powerful flames that cause frostbite buildup.

03:02It certainly makes for one hell of a bodyguard.

03:12Meteor Mother of Fingers

03:22So apparently the two fingers have a mother, and she's just as horrifying to behold as

03:26you'd expect.

03:27A cosmic monstrosity, Meteor can make for a lethal challenge if you allow her room to

03:31breathe.

03:32Not only can she birth finger creepers on the spot, but she's well adept at unleashing

03:36blasts from beyond and summoning vortexes to swallow you whole.

03:49And when that fails, she'll charge over and try to squash you.

03:51We'll certainly be seeing her and her brood in our nightmares.

04:05Bale the Dread

04:14The climb up Jagged Peak, the backstory on how this thing nearly killed Dragonlord Placidusax

04:18back in the day, the hype couldn't be higher.

04:21And then Bale revealed itself and demonstrated why it earned the name of Dread.

04:34This dragon is a powerhouse.

04:36The span of its physical attacks is wide in scope, while its breathing can drench the

04:39battlefield in lightning, and that's not to say nothing of its onslaught of a second

04:43phase.

04:44In my experience, best summon Egon if only for that now-legendary line delivery.

04:55Commander Gaius

05:04Whether you consider him cheap or not, this armored hog rider broke plenty of tarnished

05:08along the way.

05:09Its mount eclipses torrent in speed, its gravity magic hits hard, and most importantly of all,

05:15trying to avoid those charging attacks seems to vary with every attempt.

05:24Without his pet pig, Gaius would pose little challenge, but thanks to his mount's excessive

05:28attacks and enigmatic hitbox, he became a hurdle to overcome.

05:32Hope the shadow tree fragments were worth it.

05:43Vidra, Lord of the Frenzied Flame

05:55The abyssal woods and the mansion nestled inside of it made for some of the creepiest

05:58locations in Sol's history, and lurking at its heart is a poor old man with a hellish

06:03secret.

06:11We all remember the Lord of the Frenzied Flame, right?

06:14A chaotic god that the Tarnished could serve as a vessel for if they went down the evil

06:17route.

06:18Well, now we get to fight him, and as expected, the Lord doth pack a mean punch.

06:30If his attacks aren't causing madness buildup, then they're incinerating your health bar.

06:44Rilana, Twin Moon Knight

06:54Turns out Rilana has a younger sister, and she is twice as deadly as her royal sibling.

06:59Rilana very quickly became an early symbol for just how intense the bosses in the DLC

07:02could become, what with her fluid yet fantastic sword slashes, absurd combos, combined with

07:07some brutal long-range techniques.

07:17And that's all before she channels her inner pontiff, Sullivan, and starts to unleash both

07:21moon and fire magic simultaneously.

07:23Throw in her Twin Moon spell, which can easily shred off a full health bar, and you've got

07:27yourself the deadliest princess Elden Ring has ever known.

07:40Mesmer the Impaler

07:47There was no doubt that Marika's wayward fire starter of a son was going to be difficult.

07:51He's the poster boy for crying out loud.

07:53We just didn't anticipate he would be this difficult.

07:57In his first phase alone, he's got an insta-kill grab that will have you impaled and paraded

08:01for all to see.

08:10Even if you avoid it, the speed and range of his spear thrusts can prove to be devastating.

08:15Overcome that, and he lets the snake out of the bag.

08:18As base serpent Mesmer, not only will you have to contend with his spear and flames,

08:22but also a legion of giant snakes he can summon on a whim.

08:33Promised Consort Redan

08:43Melania who?

08:44In contention for the hardest boss ever conjured up by FromSoftware, the final boss of Shadow

08:49of the Aretrig will make you question if you were ever good at the genre to begin with.

08:53We barely have a moment to take in the revelation that Redan has been brought back from the

08:56dead before he demonstrates his newfound strength by smiting us on the spot.

09:09His first phase is essentially his original moveset on steroids, hitting twice as hard

09:13and twice as fast.

09:14And then Mikala shows up to aid in the fight, leading to a second phase that is guaranteed

09:18to break you.

09:29Holy magic explosions, lightning-fast sword swings, Mikala's heart-stealing insta-kill,

09:34or Don's famous meteor attack, it never ends.

09:37Consider yourself a true Elden Lord if you've somehow managed to vanquish them.
