00:07Welcome to MojoPlays and today we're counting down the bosses from Soulsborne games that
00:12STILL don't get enough love.
00:22Before we begin we publish new content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:27the bell to get notified about our latest videos.
00:32Sanctuary Guardian, Dark Souls.
00:42When it comes to the first Souls DLC, everyone tends to go buck wild over the likes of Artorias
00:48and Manus, and with good reason, so we'd like to give a shout out to the Pseudo-Manticore
00:53serving as your opening fight.
00:55You'll have to stay on your toes because the Sanctuary Guardian is a literal beast both
00:59up close and at a distance, flying around the arena unleashing bolts of lightning and doing
01:04considerable poison damage with its tail.
01:07Good luck trying to slice that thing off.
01:17The one reborn, Bloodborne.
01:31Granted, everyone tends to find the archers hugging the sides of the arena more troublesome
01:35than this bloody mass of corpses, but there's no taking away just how much of an eerie impression
01:40this thing makes as it hemorrhages itself into existence.
01:44An unholy experiment gone awry, this collection of misshapen and mangled bodies is one of the
01:49goriest creations FromSoftware has created.
01:52Even if you're able to slip past its swipes with relative ease, the gnarly aesthetics of
01:56its gruesome body are sure to give you pause.
01:59And that kind of revulsion is something to be admired.
02:12Regal Ancestor Spirit – Elden Ring
02:23Whilst Marika's bloodline served as the main focus of the story, the lands between played
02:27host to numerous cultures and creatures outside of the Royal Dynasty.
02:31Namely, the haunting, intimidating, yet dazzling, Ancestor Spirit.
02:36There's a majesty to this ghostly stag as it tries to lash at you while galloping through
02:40the air.
02:41If anything, we feel like the intruder for casually strolling in and trying to slay it.
02:46Regardless, the combination of the environment, its magical projectiles and that stunning OST
02:51made for an unforgettable battle, we're all too happy to revisit time and time again.
03:04The Pursuer – Dark Souls 2
03:15For everything this sequel does to grind on the nerves of fans, there's no denying it
03:19carried on the tradition of absolutely nailing its night characters.
03:23And The Pursuer is no exception.
03:25It's everything you could want in an early game boss.
03:28Giant sword, giant shield, minimal space to move, requiring timing and patience in order
03:34to slip through its defences whilst avoiding its curse-laced blade.
03:38Oh, and it leaps in on a giant eagle as a flex.
03:41Starting to think this guy might have made for a better nemesis than Nashandra.
03:53Mergo's Wet Nurse – Bloodborne
04:08Layered in mystery as well as a hell of a lot of blades, this supposed character of the
04:12infant great one known as Mergo is a different kind of terrifying compared to the other eldritch
04:17beasts you'll come across.
04:18A spectral being guarding a screaming yet unseen child, there's a sense of foreboding to this
04:23boss like few others in the game.
04:25It's a silent executioner, invisible safe for its cloak, its weapons and a set of black
04:30angelic wings.
04:32Lore wise, it's an ominous head scratcher.
04:34Aesthetically, it's incredible.
04:36Just try not to marvel at it too long, otherwise it will teleport behind you and get to slicing.
04:50Mityr, Mother of Fingers, Elden Ring
04:58For those of you that didn't pursue this side quest, we feel sorry for you, because
05:03at the tail end was a boss fight that blew our minds.
05:06The Mother of Fingers, as the name suggests, is the creator of the Two Fingers, that have
05:10guided Elden Lords since the beginning.
05:13She's the daughter of the Outer God known as the Greater Will, and she's absolutely
05:17horrifying to behold.
05:19You're fighting against a primordial being that has a built-in microcosm capable of unleashing
05:24vast gravity magic.
05:26Not only does she make for an epic confrontation, but her mere existence has huge implications
05:31for the lore.
05:39Demon Prince
05:40Dark Souls 3
05:51Somewhat overshadowed by the litany of other incredible bosses across all of Dark Souls 3's
05:57Nefarious DLC, the demon twins that lurk at the entrance to the ringed city still make
06:02for an incredible boss fight.
06:04Starting out as the demon in pain and demon from below, you'll have to juggle striking
06:08one down while avoiding ranged attacks from the other.
06:11All before they fuse together to become the Demon Prince, a hellish being that can blanket
06:16the arena in flame.
06:18We can see why Lorien struggled so much with this thing.
06:22Its projectiles can dish out absurd damage.
06:32Emma, the gentle blade.
06:34Sekiro, shadows die twice.
06:44You have to be about as loathsome as it gets to take Owl up on his offer to obey the
06:49Iron
06:49Code.
06:50Turn on your master, and as a result, clash swords with this sweetest of maidens.
06:55Though doing so will earn you the chance to see how Emma is beyond a mere pretty face.
06:59While her battle serves as a prelude to the one with the older version of Isshin, that's
07:03not to say she's unschooled, able to unleash swift strikes and close the gap in a blink
07:08of an eye.
07:09Underestimate this attendant at your peril.
07:18Lorien and Lothric, Dark Souls 3
07:21There are those who openly adore these bosses, both for their mechanics and their story as
07:32the last among the Lords of Cinder.
07:34But as far as we're concerned, they more than deserve to stand on the pedestal among
07:38FromSoft's best creations.
07:41The honour-bound yet wounded Lorien, the gifted yet sickly Lothric.
07:45Twin princes bound by their compassion for one another, as well as their apathy to their
07:49kingdom, leading to the most unique double battle in the series.
07:53While Lorien lashes out with his burning sword, Lothric constantly teleports them, while also
07:58peppering the Ashen one with magic.
08:00And if that wasn't enough, he also heals his brother after he's been struck down.
08:05These two more than measure up to final boss material.
08:09Divine Dragon.
08:10Sekiro, Shadows Die Twice.
08:20Yes, the pre-battle against the old dragons of the tree isn't anything special.
08:25Yes, the overall fight can be considered one of the easiest in the game.
08:28That doesn't take away from the fact that Divine Dragon is still a spectacle to behold.
08:33The way in which it uses its sword, how you can parry lightning to snipe it from its perch.
08:37Everything about it feels epic.
08:40Artistically, it's an absolute triumph of video game design, and a delight to battle against.
08:45Even if you can realistically smite it faster than most.
08:57Which Souls boss do you think requires more attention?
