00:00Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we're taking a look at 10 final bosses that just refused to
00:13perish no matter how hard we tried. Before we begin we publish new videos all week long,
00:24so be sure to subscribe to MojoPlays and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:28Chef Saltbaker, Cuphead. Cuphead is a bit of a funny case. Every boss fight feels like it lasts
00:43forever when in reality they only go on for just a handful of minutes, but the fight against Chef
00:49Saltbaker really does feel like it goes on for an eternity. Each phase has so much going on that
00:55you're likely going to stop firing for a minute just to focus on keeping yourself alive. Heck,
01:01you're likely going to suffer a handful of deaths before you can even beat the Chef on your own terms.
01:07All we can say is, good luck going for that S rank. You're gonna need it.
01:20Yang. Seafood.
01:21In terms of final bosses that really do take forever, Yang really does take a whole freaking
01:34lifetime to beat compared to the other combat scenarios in Seafood. Yang hits really hard,
01:40plays super aggressively, and will block just about everything you throw at him. Seriously,
01:46are you even allowed to play the game anymore? And just when you think it's over,
01:49he demands a rematch immediately. And yes, it is just as aggravating as the first round.
01:57Do we dare mention the third round that occurs if you choose to spare him? Yeah,
02:02we didn't even entertain that fight. Off with his head. Lewis. Metaphor re-Fantasio.
02:24It's no surprise that an Atlas game is popping up this early on the list, and it certainly won't
02:29be the last. Lewis is a force to be reckoned with, and he only gets tougher the longer the fight goes
02:34on. Due to his high health pool, it'll often feel like your attacks are mere mosquito bites to him,
02:40while he manages to hit like a truck every single turn. You're either going to wind up using all of
02:45your items in MP, or you're just gonna have to accept fate, watch your whole party get wiped,
02:50and eventually lower the difficulty. There is no in-between.
02:54The Elden Beast. Elden Ring.
03:17There are plenty of bosses that will give you a run for your money, and plenty that you'll find
03:21yourself stuck on for what feels like forever. However, the Elden Beast is a boss that makes
03:27even Millennia seem like a walk in the park. A high health pool is definitely one way to make
03:34the player grow impatient, but what makes this whole fight even worse is that you have to defeat it in
03:39one go. Should you die, you will not only have to fight the Elden Beast again, but also the boss that
03:46comes before it, Radagon of the Golden Order. Be prepared to be stuck on this one, unless you've
03:52outfitted a beefy build that can inflict Black Flame.
03:55This dude is just utter nonsense in a speedo with a lame Super Saiyan hairdo. Gil is among the most
04:22notorious bosses in fighting game history, and the fight against him can potentially go on way
04:27longer than it needs to. The reason for this is because he boasts a super move that can allow him
04:32to instantly heal himself completely in a matter of moments. And of course, he will likely trigger
04:39this move right after he knocks you away. Don't be disheartened if you get your butt handed to you on
04:44a blue and red platter. King K. Rool, Donkey Kong Bonanza.
04:57We all knew the final fight in Bonanza was going to be some epic finale on the same level as Super
05:01Mario Odyssey. Both games are from the same development team, after all. What we weren't
05:06expecting was for King K. Rool to take such minuscule amounts of damage. Seriously, even when using Bonanza
05:13transformations like Kong and Elephant, every hit feels like you're doing a decimal amount of
05:19damage. And considering K. Rool doesn't use a ton of different moves throughout the fight,
05:23this conclusion falls flat on its face just due to sheer tedium. Just be patient. The punches will
05:30knock him out, eventually. The Icon of Sin, Doom Eternal.
05:44One of the more polarizing aspects of Doom Eternal is how it handles resource management. It feels like
05:50you are constantly out of ammunition and having to refill, which makes this climactic fight against
05:56the Icon of Sin feel like a total slog. You need to destroy all eight pieces of his armor,
06:01but you also have hordes of demons following you around and shooting at you. On top of that,
06:06the Icon of Sin does move around quite a bit, which makes destroying some armor parts more aggravating
06:12than the rest. Your attention is constantly being pulled around that this fight winds up becoming way
06:18more annoying than enjoyable. Zeus, God of War 3
06:39The final fight against Zeus is both super cool and a little bit bizarre. For starters, the first part of
06:46the fight is done in the style of a one-on-one Smash Bros. fight, minus any signs on whether you're
06:51close to beating Zeus. Then you have a fight that follows the usual format of the other bosses,
06:56where you have total 3D movement. But man, by the time you get to the first person finale,
07:01you're wondering when the hell is this thing going to end. It has its fun moments, but the constantly
07:06changing format kind of wears thin before the God of Thunder has finally perished.
07:21The Nyx Avatar Persona 3
07:24The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate.
07:29Now this is definitely a fight that's going to test your patience. The Nyx Avatar has long been
07:40one of the most notoriously long boss fights in video game history. The main reason for this is
07:45because it boasts 14 different forms, one for each of the different Arcanas featured in the game.
07:51The first 13 will be annoying to get through, but the final Arcana, Death, is going to determine whether
07:57the entire fight was a waste of time. The Nyx Avatar in its Death Arcana form has a significantly higher
08:03HP than the rest of the Arcanas, and it takes half the amount of damage that the other Arcana forms take.
08:09Our advice? Just play Persona 3 Reload. The fight there is much more tolerable. Don't bother with the original.
08:16And finally, Yiazmat, Final Fantasy XII.
08:28Absolutely, unabashedly, shamelessly egregious. That is the only way to describe Yiazmat.
08:35While the Nyx Avatar is more infamously known as a long boss fight, Yiazmat is 10 times worse than that.
08:42With an HP stretching to 50 million, this fight is known to take players roughly 2-3 hours to beat,
08:48unless going for ultra specific builds and strategies. Basically, if you're streaming Final
08:53Fantasy XII, you'll want to dedicate an entire stream to just this fight alone. It does take that
08:59long, and you might end up raging if your entire party gets wiped in the process. So much time, gone in a
09:06flash. Was there a final boss that refused to let the game finally end for you? Let us know down in the
09:12comments, and don't forget to subscribe to MojoPlays.
