00:00The Veterinary Services Department is investigating the alleged abuse of a husky by a man at a

00:08condominium in Kajang.

00:11A DVS spokesman said it received multiple reports about the incident and had forwarded

00:16information on the matter to its Selangor office for further investigation.

00:22Animal rescuer Shima Aris said a widely shared video on social media showed a shirtless man

00:28forcefully grabbing the dog and repeatedly hitting its face.

00:32Shima said she and a group of rescuers went to the condo to demand the man surrender the

00:37dog, which he did willingly.

00:40However, Shima said she could not take another dog, a Pomeranian, from the condo as there

00:45was no proof that the owner hit the dog.

00:48She said the husky was currently being treated by a veterinarian at a private clinic and

00:53there were no visible wounds.
