00:36So I'm Bobby, I'm the Assistant Manager here at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Portsmouth.
00:41And yeah, so what kind of makes the Brewhouse unique? I know you've got two in there,
00:45in Portsmouth, one in Southsea as well.
00:47So firstly, 70% of the beers we have are brewed here.
00:53Then in terms of food, the fish and the onion rings are beer battered.
00:59So we use our own beer and it's usually our craft lager.
01:03We make our own batter, then obviously batter our own fish.
01:07I see, okay, so you use your own beer.
01:09Yeah.
01:09That's pretty cool.
01:10And yeah, so how many beers have you actually got on sale?
01:14In total, I think each site varies.
01:19I think on total we have about 16.
01:22I think there's around about seven that we brew in-house.
01:26And then the rest are guest beers, so like unique craft beers from around the world.
01:30Okay, cool. And what are the most popular beers that you have here?
01:34I would say the craft lager.
01:36So it's not a traditional lager, it's a 5%.
01:41And it's got different malts in.
01:44It's brewed externally.
01:47So it's brewed in a place called Shepparton Neams, which is England's oldest brewery.
01:52They brew it, then obviously we bring it here.
01:56Yeah, okay, cool.
01:58And obviously, what's kind of the culture of that place?
02:00Is it quite, you know, relaxed dining?
02:03It varies.
02:05So usually it's a bit of American, like restaurant-style food.
02:11And then when it gets busy, so when there's theatres going on,
02:16it turns much more into a restaurant, much more restaurant-y, table service.
02:22And we take orders at the table.
02:25Obviously, then we bring the food and drink.
02:28So it's much more restaurant-y when it's busier.
02:31But apart from that, it's your American, like, casual street food.
02:35Okay, so it kind of varies.
02:37Obviously, you've got the theatre two doors up.
02:39So, okay, it does get pretty busy during the theatre.
02:41Yeah, so you can book tables.
02:45And then usually when there's a theatre show, we're like 80, 90% full, minimum.
02:51Sometimes we're fully booked.
02:54So what kind of food do you have on the menu?
02:57So we range from everything from small plates, to mains, to desserts.
03:04We have offers on the small plates.
03:05So it's three plates for £9.50.
03:08And they can range from hand croquettes for capture, to peppers.
03:13And in terms of mains, we have steaks, fish and chips, pies.
03:17Your, like, generic food, but we've, like, put a twist on it.
03:22So I've gone for the six ounce burger with cheese and salad.
03:27Let's see how it is.
03:38Yeah, really tasty.
03:42Yeah, it's good.
03:43So you've got two beef patties.
03:45Both quite tender and juicy.
03:46As you can see, it's all over my hands.
03:49Cheese is melting, and it was all over it.
03:51Yeah, it's a good burger.
