00:03 Let's talk about O'Neal Cruz here
00:04 because I think O'Neal Cruz is a lot better
00:06 than what his numbers are showing,
00:07 but we're kind of running out of time here,
00:09 literally and figuratively.
00:10 - I can feel you warming up,
00:12 stretching for the victory lap
00:13 on Jack Flaherty's Bad Start coming this week, probably.
00:16 I could just feel it.
00:17 Next Sunday, Matty's gonna take a hard lap
00:19 on that victory lap with Jack Flaherty at some point.
00:22 Some of the guys going wrong, O'Neal Cruz.
00:25 I don't know, Matt, I mean,
00:27 maybe he isn't as good as we hope he is.
00:29 This is a point where now you start to worry.
00:33 He didn't play baseball for a whole year last year
00:34 'cause of an injury.
00:35 Those last 15 days, no homers,
00:37 19 strikeouts and a buck 62.
00:39 Look, the pirates, we've been down this road before
00:42 with some of their prospects.
00:44 Gregory Polanco was a can't miss guy.
00:46 Well, he missed.
00:47 You get guys like this sometimes as an organization
00:49 where they just have not become the dude.
00:52 We're gonna talk about another guy,
00:53 another one of the high draft picks coming up
00:54 in the waiver wire segment
00:56 that does look like he is hitting right now.
00:57 And maybe somebody to add, but Cruz right now,
01:00 maybe a Byman Dynasty, but right now in redraft leagues,
01:02 I have specific concerns.
01:04 Corbin Carroll, who went ahead of Jose Ramirez
01:06 in pretty much every single draft this year.
01:08 He continues to struggle.
01:09 It's been another bad month for him.
01:11 No homers for RBI in the last two weeks,
01:13 18 strikeouts hitting under 200 with a 640 OPS.
01:17 I don't understand this.
01:19 It's just really puzzling.
01:20 Sophomore slump, maybe,
01:21 but they have figured out Corbin Carroll
01:24 and he has yet to make adjustments back.
01:25 And Pablo Lopez, this is the one
01:27 where I think it's an outlier.
01:28 I'd be buying Pablo Lopez.
01:30 You look at the stats for him.
01:31 The ERA is at 12 over his last nine innings in two games.
01:35 The whip is at 176.
01:37 Pablo Lopez strikeout rate is still very strong.
01:39 The strikeout to walk rate is incredibly good.
01:42 You buy Pablo Lopez.
01:43 He just has stretches like this.
01:45 This is who he is.
01:45 This is why he's not a true fantasy ace,
01:48 probably a notch below,
01:49 but a guy certainly you want in your rotation.
01:52 So buy on Lopez with Carroll, with Cruz.
01:57 I don't know.
01:58 It's a tough situation here.
01:59 I still believe long-term in Carroll.
02:00 Cruz, I'm not sold on.
