00:00 Hi all, another Monday, another LP Eat review. Now today, excited about this one. So, for
00:10 the longest time people have been recommending Sandoz, Sandoz, not sure about pronunciation
00:15 but forgive me boy, been recommending Sandoz/Sandoz saying it was comfortably one of the top kebab
00:21 places in Preston. Now, on the other occasions I've been down, it has been closed, the opening
00:27 hours on Google don't seem to be that reliable but anyway, I'm hopeful today, I'm going to
00:31 give it another bash, head down and see what they've got. Excited, so yeah, let's go try
00:35 Sandoz.

01:05 [Sandoz]
01:29 Hi guys, so just enjoyed lunch, sat outside in the lovely sunshine near Preston bus station
01:36 and yeah, finally got round to having some Sandoz. That was absolutely incredible, obviously
01:41 full review to come but the size of it was just unbelievable, really, really nice. Everything
01:45 about it was great but more details to come.
01:48 Hi guys, digital reporter Jack Marshall here and just giving you the score update for our
01:54 LP Eat Kebab review of Sandoz or Sandoz as we've covered already. I have no idea how
02:00 to pronounce that, that's my fault, my bad. Anyway, so like I've written in my review
02:08 and as I mentioned earlier in this video, Sandoz is the kind of place which has received
02:12 loads of high, loads of recommendations, the kind of place which loads of people have been
02:16 telling us we have to try and I've been down a few times so it's been closed. Google timings,
02:20 Google opening hours don't seem to have it pinned down exactly when it was open so as
02:25 I walked past Preston bus station and I saw it and I saw some more coming out, I thought
02:28 brilliant, here we go, finally going to try one of Preston's top rated kebabs. So headed
02:33 in and first impressions, if we're going to rate the vibe of the place, the vibe was really
02:37 good. It was kind of like busy and humming and the staff were really friendly and really
02:42 like just there to help you with some pretty prompt service. It was a 4.5, the only thing
02:48 which could have made it better if it was literally just busy, I suppose you can't really
02:51 control that, that's just luck of the draw. But yeah, really good on that front, all fine.
02:56 Coming to the kebab itself, my first impressions, he handed me the bag and it was massive. It
03:00 was genuinely, it was huge, it was a proper like stocking filler of a kebab, it was massive.
03:07 So really pleased on that kind of front, took it out, went and found a spot and cracked
03:12 on. The Naan bread to begin with, 5 out of 5, perfection. There's nothing else you can
03:16 say. It was brilliant, it was handmade, it was literally doughy, soft, tasty, brought
03:22 into the kebab itself, it wasn't just there, it wasn't too small for the amount of meat
03:27 and salad extras in there. Perfect, no notes, absolutely flawless. The meat, that's obviously
03:32 a 5 out of 5. The meat itself was a 4.5 out of 5. It was everything you want from kebab,
03:38 everything you want from chicken shawarma. It was flavoursome, it was tasty, it was cooked
03:44 really well, it was juicy, but it wasn't dry, it was everything you want. The only thing
03:49 that I'm knocking 0.5 of a point off it for was the fact that the chunks were very small,
03:55 it was obviously like shaved in that way. Sometimes you just want slightly bigger chunks
03:59 to kind of get your teeth into, but I mean it's a very, very small quantity. Onto the
04:04 extras now, that's 5 out of 5 as well, same as the Naan, because it was just everything
04:09 you want. I mean, the salad was fresh, the onions in it were really tangy, they brought
04:13 something else to it. The garlic sauce in there as well was just, I mean, God, how can
04:19 you go wrong? It was brilliant. Everything about it was just like, yeah, that's exactly
04:22 what I'm looking for. The whole point of this thing is to be like, is this what you would
04:27 want from a chicken shawarma kebab? And it was exactly what you'd want, it's exactly
04:31 what you'd be looking for from this kind of meal, so that was outstanding as well. The
04:36 value of it, to round out our scores, it was expensive, it was £7.50, but as we've touched
04:42 on already, you got a lot of food and it was outstanding food, so it's one of those occasions
04:47 where you're like, yeah, sure, it was a bit more expensive, but you're getting value for
04:50 money, you just are getting value for money. And when it comes to rating the price, we
04:54 are essentially looking at whether this thing is valuable for money and not just like, oh,
04:58 is it cheap? We're looking at whether it's worth it. 100% it was worth it. So I'm giving
05:03 it a 4 out of 5 on that front. Tends to go higher, but sure, £7.50 isn't the kind of
05:09 thing, isn't the kind of price point you'd be going every single day at. So 4 out of
05:13 5 on that front, which gives it an overall score, if I just check my notes, of 23 out
05:18 of 25, which puts Sandos tied at the top of the leaderboard with Royal Shawarma. So we're
05:24 going to have to find some way of separating these two, but anyway, we've got a few more
05:27 reviews to do to round out the series, the top 10 kebabs in Preston. Keep watching, we'll
05:31 see how it goes, and then we'll follow on from there and we'll do our top three and
05:36 talk you through those. Cheers.
