00:00 A lot to break down for you
00:01 as we open up the big board.
00:03 We're starting though with the numbers
00:05 because welcome to summer.
00:06 We've gotten a taste of it.
00:07 Nations capital still holding on to 83 degrees.
00:10 We're down from the mid 80s in Boston,
00:12 78 currently and Buffalo back up to 70
00:14 after around a thunderstorms knocked
00:15 us into the comfortable 70s or steamy 70s.
00:18 I guess you could say showers,
00:19 thunderstorms still out there.
00:20 They're on the move through upstate New York.
00:22 You can see some of them have been severe.
00:25 Also through central Pennsylvania
00:26 moving into eastern Pennsylvania.
00:27 A couple of these warned for that
00:29 threat of damaging wind.
00:31 Even some small hail reported
00:32 with a couple of these storm systems.
00:34 These thunderstorms is still work
00:35 their way east through the night,
00:37 but they lose their steam.
00:38 So for New York City could hear
00:40 some rumbles of thunder.
00:42 Certainly get some rain.
00:43 I don't think there's anything severe,
00:44 but you can see what it looked like as it
00:47 worked its way through central Pennsylvania.
00:49 There are fairly active even when
00:51 they're not severe warned.
00:52 Thunderstorms continue to fire
00:53 up as we go into tomorrow.
00:55 The boundary is still in place for
00:57 us so we will have more wet weather
00:59 on tap and that means we're dealing
01:01 with it showers, thunderstorms,
01:02 likely in Boston, New York City.
01:04 Also dealing with some of those
01:06 showers and thunderstorms.
01:07 Buffalo quieter,
01:07 drier air works in here.
01:09 That's all behind the stormy pattern.
01:10 So for Boston to Raleigh we will
01:12 have some of those strong severe
01:14 thunderstorms with the risk for
01:16 damaging winds and even some potential
01:18 for hail. The focus will be the wind threat.
01:21 There's all that rain coming through.
01:22 Can't rule out the risk for some flooding,
01:25 especially localized.
01:25 I don't move through Boston changing
01:27 the skies is there too as we go through
01:30 tomorrow, but maybe by Friday Boston.
01:32 Your skies will look like that again
01:34 because get more sunshine as drier
01:36 air moves through.
01:37 It's only going to last though a day.
01:39 There's more thunderstorms
01:40 already moving into Ohio.
01:42 Places like Columbus there.
