00:00Neal & Wolfe, a professional hair care brand based in Lancashire, says it has become only the second professional hair care brand in the world to be Leaping Bunny approved by Cruelty Free International.
00:11This means the entire product portfolio of Neal & Wolfe has not been, or ever has been, tested on animals.
00:19Based in Irby in East Lancashire, Neal & Wolfe was founded in 2009 by Neal Capstick and all their products are sulphate free, paraben free, TEA free and DEA free.
00:31Since being Leaping Bunny approved, they have also promised that all new product launches will be 100% vegan friendly too.
00:38So whilst Neal & Wolfe's Cruelty Free accreditation should definitely be celebrated, I also wanted to see if its products are actually any good.
00:47I was gifted a box featuring products from Neal & Wolfe's latest range, Hydrate. It came in the post this week, so let's see what's inside.
00:59Okay, so first up it's just a dispatch note with names of the three products I'll find inside.
01:05I can then see the packaging, which is really nice. Neal & Wolfe embossed tissue paper.
01:12Underneath that there's more packaging, cardboard of course.
01:18Then inside I've got three full size products, which I wasn't expecting, I thought they'd be tester size.
01:25So first we've got a moisture shampoo.
01:29It says it's for all hair types and will leave you with intensely hydrated and conditioned hair.
01:34I'll be needing this because I've just come back from a holiday, so my hair's feeling slightly dehydrated with all the sun and swim.
01:42Then it's a conditioner, a moisture conditioner.
01:46Again it's for all hair types and will leave you with intensely hydrated and conditioned hair.
01:51Both the shampoo and conditioner are of the same design, the conditioner is just slightly smaller, but that's what you usually find.
01:59The third product is a bit different, I've got a tub.
02:03So this is a moisture mask. I've never really used a moisture mask before, so I'm excited to see if it's worth trying.
02:10So I use this after I use the shampoo and after I use the conditioner.
02:16So all three products, I really love the design on them, they're really sleek and modern.
02:21They definitely look salon professional, so let's see if the result on my hair is also salon professional.
02:27Let's go try them!
02:29So I'm back after using all three products.
02:32When I opened the shampoo and conditioner in the shower, I was first impressed by their lovely smell.
02:36A subtle nutty and floral scent, which combined with the clear colour of the product, made it feel really natural.
02:43I followed the product's instructions, and then after my shower, when my hair had half dried, I applied the moisture mask to the middle and the ends of my hair.
02:51Fast forward 10 minutes, I washed the mask off, and then fast forward an hour to now, my hair is dry and ready to be assessed.
02:59My hair is way softer than before I used the products, and you may have noticed I had frizzy curls before.
03:04But the Neal & Wolfe Hydrate range has definitely tightened the curls and given me a more salon-like finish.
03:11So if you want to try a new, higher-end hair brand, I would definitely recommend Neal & Wolfe.
03:16It gives you a salon finish at home for a reasonable cost, and you're safe in the knowledge that they're animal-friendly and Lancashire-based.
