Review of Smokies at Dunkirk Hall, Leyland

00:00At the LEP we've done quite a few stories about Smokies now. It's the takeaway that's known for

00:05its smash burgers, its dirty fries. They've got problems at the Leyland location at Dunkirk Hall

00:10because the council have said they're too close to a grade I think two listed building which is

00:15the pub itself and they're too close to some schools. So to cut a long story short we thought

00:21well let's try out and see if it's any good which is exactly what I did on Friday. Three meals,

00:27it was ordered via Uber Eats, free delivery actually, from Dunkirk Hall and this is what

00:34it looked like. Very chicken heavy, two gravy baby burgers and my son had some chicken popcorn meals.

00:41It came to nearly £60 so one of the arguments of Smokies is that their food is at a price point

00:48that would exclude some school children. I've got to agree but then again nowhere is cheap these days.

00:55Was it good? It certainly was. My son's could have been bigger although it was only £7 that came

01:02with a fruit shoot. I gave him some of my extra chips. It was really tasty, really fresh.
