00:00Hi, I'm digital reporter Amy Seddon and this weekend I'm visiting Drayton Manor for the launch of their Halloween Magic and Mayhem event with a new End of Show Spectacular.
00:10Although the Halloween event doesn't start until 6pm, I've never been to Drayton Manor before so I've come down earlier to try out some of the rides.
00:18My favourite ride was the Wave as it was just the most thrilling, but I did really like Maelstrom, it proper turned my stomach and was the most unique.
00:24We could only spend two and a half hours there on the first day and I was surprised by how many rides we could fit in.
00:30At 3.30 we left to go check in to the Drayton Manor Hotel for the night.
00:34Our room was huge and we had the best sleep as the bed was so comfy and the hotel nice and quiet.
00:39Before sleep however, we headed back to the park for the 6pm Halloween launch.
00:43It was extra fun going on some of the park's most thrilling rides in the dark, it felt like breaking into school.
00:47Two new rides also launched, trick or treating at the Monsters House which we found super impressive even if it was aged children
00:53and the Haunted Express which we definitely weren't too old for. It really was quite spooky.
00:58To finish at 8pm, the first end of show spectacular began on the lake.
01:02The display was just stunning, with colourful water jets dancing to Halloween music, jets of flames bursting into the sky
01:07and spooky animations being projected into the air. My phone camera just didn't do it justice.
01:13The next day we were then treated to a tasty free breakfast before going to the park again for a full day of fun.
01:17I had a more relaxing time on the Saturday, exploring the whole park and testing out more rides.
01:23A peaceful hour at the zoo was a surprising highlight.
01:26Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Drayton Manor, the pièce de résistance being that new end of show spectacular
01:30which was just so high tech it felt like I was in Disneyland.
01:34I would just have to return when the next themed end of show spectacular takes over.
