00:00 Will, looking at Everton and their season as a whole, obviously it's not been the greatest for them,
00:06 but you look at Jarrod Brantway breaking into the England setter,
00:11 quite an achievement there. Who stands out for you to be the player of the season,
00:16 a player that stood out, had a good individual season at Everton?
00:21 I think the player you just mentioned there, Jarrod Brantway, his head and shoulders have been better than everyone.
00:27 He's had a fantastic breakthrough campaign in the Premier League.
00:31 He's rightly getting the applause that he deserves.
00:34 Chelsea, he was poor, so was every Everton player.
00:40 Young lads are going to make mistakes as defenders, and as a defender your mistakes are punished, aren't they?
00:46 There's more spotlight on them, but on the whole he's been magnificent.
00:51 If you're trying to pick out any other players, I'd be quite frank, it's slim pickings.
00:57 Abdoulaye Toukour, in his first half of the season, was a bit of a talismanic presence,
01:02 but since he's had two hamstring injuries and since he's come back, he's really struggled for form, to be quite frank.
01:10 Tylee McIlhenny hasn't done badly at left-back, defensively, but attacking-wise there's still a fair bit to be desired.
01:19 John Pickford hasn't done badly at all, whatsoever, as well.
01:24 James Tarkovsky, OK, but his form's dipped in recent weeks.
01:28 Apart from that, you really are struggling in the midfield, hasn't been good enough for a lot of it.
01:33 Attacking-wise, we know Everton's poor set of goals.
01:38 I think Jarrod Brantway is definitely going to sweep up the end-of-season awards,
01:42 and I think there's going to be a lot of potential successes in for him in the summer.
01:46 Given Everton's financial situation, are they going to be in a position where they can turn down any potential bids from Jarrod Brantway?
01:54 He might have to hold a nerve, hope that maybe a Bibbon Ward comes in,
01:58 but it looks like Jarrod Brantway will be sweeping up the end-of-season awards.
02:04 Obviously, we saw that John Stones had a similar start at Everton as a youngster, as an English centre-back.
02:10 Do you see any similarities between the pairing there?
02:14 Yes, obviously there's a similar trajectory.
02:16 They've both come from the Football League, having Lee Stones from Barnsley and Brantway from Carlisle.
02:23 To be fair, it's John Stones when he started out at Everton, he actually started at right-back,
02:27 so that's what maybe you do with young centre-backs, just because you make a mistake there.
02:32 It's not as crucial as maybe in central defence.
02:38 It'll be interesting to see the trajectory he takes.
02:41 I think Jarrod Brantway, to be honest with you, from what I've seen, is a better player.
02:45 Obviously, Stones has gone on to achieve absolutely magnificent things at Manchester City.
02:51 Maybe they're just a little bit different players, potentially,
02:54 but the ceiling is as high as Jarrod Brantway wants it to be.
02:58 to me.
