From East Port of Spain to Morvant, there's a mentorship programme on the move, looking to help young men.

It's an initiative by the District Grand Lodge of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada.

00:00It was family fun on Sunday as the District Grand Lodge of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada
00:08hosted its family day.
00:10The event today is meant to bring the lodges, the members, the families, the inclusions
00:19of children to come out and enjoy the fellowship.
00:23While the event was about fun and games, the District Grand Master mentioned efforts being
00:29made to tackle the serious issue of steering young men away from crime.
00:35If we can save one because of our interaction, for instance today I encouraged the mentors
00:43to bring the mentees, they could see a different side of life.
00:49A youth mentorship program which started in East Port of Spain has now made its way into
00:54MoVA focusing on the less fortunate.
00:58We have visited health consultations with about six of the secondary schools in MoVA.
