00:11 Manipulative pervert who raped a 15-year-old girl in Burnley, jailed for 15 years.
00:15 Martin Greenwood, 56, was jailed for 15 years on Monday after being found guilty of raping
00:19 a 15-year-old girl in Burnley in the early 1990s. Greenwood told his victims that nobody
00:24 would believe her if she raised the alarm about what he had done to her. The victim
00:27 contacted the police in 2018 and officers subsequently arrested Greenwood of Waltham
00:31 Abbey, Essex on suspicion of rape. Following a trial last week, Greenwood was unanimously
00:35 found guilty of rape by a jury at Burnley Crown Court. He was ordered to send a sex
00:38 offence register for life and given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
00:45 Lost at car, man charged after £12,000 worth of jewellery, watches and electrical equipment
00:50 stolen. A man has been charged after £12,000 worth of items were stolen during two burglaries
00:55 and a theft in Lancashire. The burglaries happened at addresses in Penrhythm and Waterloo
00:59 Dale in March and on Monday. Watches, jewellery and electrical equipment worth around £12,000
01:03 were taken along with around £1,000 in cash. A 50-year-old was arrested on Wednesday on
01:07 suspicion of burglary in a dwelling and fraud by false representation. Nathan Redmond, 50,
01:11 of St James's Court, lost at car, was later charged with two counts of burglary and four
01:15 counts of fraud by false representation.
01:20 Arrested at Lancaster Railway Station on suspicion of theft from buffet and shops. British Transport
01:26 Police Lancashire said a theft was reported at Oxenholme Station buffet, then the suspect
01:29 committed another theft at a shop outside the station, boarded a train and stole from
01:33 the on-board shop. Enquiries are ongoing.
01:41 Preston Drug Debt Collector raped woman inside City Flat while armed with hammer. A man has
01:46 been in jail for 15 years after raping woman in Preston. Nathan Burr was attempting to
01:49 collect a drug debt from the victim's friend when he subjected the woman to the horrific
01:53 ordeal at her flat in August 2021. Burr had turned up at the victim's home looking for
01:57 a friend and demanded to be let inside. He became aggressive and picked up a hammer which
02:00 had been inside the property. The woman offered to take Burr to her friend's flat with Burr
02:04 promising her that he would let her go if she did so. They went to her friend's flat
02:08 but it was there that Burr raped her several times with him still in possession of the
02:10 hammer throughout the attack. She described his behaviour as very changeable with him
02:14 at times becoming extremely violent and threatening.
02:18 He appeared for sentence before Judge Philip Parry last Friday and was given a 15-year
02:22 prison sentence. Burr will also have to serve a minimum of two-thirds of that term and is
02:25 also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for Life.
02:32 23-year-old man arrested after discovery of cannabis farm in Preston. Following community
02:38 intelligence, Lancashire Police officers attended an address on Balfour Road in Fullwood. Upon
02:43 entering the property, the officers discovered around 200 mature cannabis plants. There was
02:46 also evidence that the electricity had been bypassed. A 23-year-old man was arrested and
02:49 is currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.

03:02 Road. A man in his 20s suffered a broken nose after he was headbutted at Trilogy nightclub.
