I visited the most enchanting hotel in Cumbria and was blown away - The Langdale Chase Hotel.
Transcript
00:00I recently had the most wonderful day at Langdale Chase Hotel and it honestly felt like a little
00:04escape into another world. The experience began with a beautiful breakfast overlooking the lake,
00:09fresh, hearty and exactly the kind of start you'd hoped for in such a setting.
00:14There's something about sipping coffee with that view that immediately slows you down and puts you
00:17in the right frame of mind. Afterwards I had the chance to meet Claire, the head gardener,
00:21and tour the grounds with her. She's so passionate about what she does and it shows in every corner
00:26of the gardens. Listening to her talk about the planting, the changing seasons and the wildlife
00:31made me appreciate details I never would have noticed on my own. It gave the place a new kind
00:36of magic. Then came one of the highlights, sailing on the albatross. Being out on the water looking
00:41back on the house framed by the fells was just breathtaking. It's such a unique way to see the
00:46property and it gave me this sense of adventure and calm all at once. The day was rounded off
00:51perfectly with afternoon tea back at the hotel. Delicate cakes, warm scones and that elegant
00:56atmosphere made it feel truly indulgent. Sitting there, reflecting on the day, I realised how
01:01thoughtfully everything had been put together. From the food, to the gardens, to the lake itself.
01:06Every part felt connected, like one long gentle story. It wasn't just a visit, it was an experience
01:11that lingered with me. It's highly recommended for couples, solo travellers, seeking rest or anyone
01:17who values scenery, quality and a touch of indulgence.
