00:00 The World Cup is just about two months away with matches taking place in USA and the West Indies.
00:05 As far as tickets are concerned, a fair number of games in the US are close to being sold out,
00:10 with India vs Pakistan having already achieved that.
00:13 So says Damon Leon, who is the head of PR and communications for the T20 World Cup.
00:18 In the Caribbean, last week there were additional tickets that went on sale for the tournaments.
00:24 So there is currently tickets that are available and the easiest way to get it is on our website at tickets.t20worldcup.com.
00:32 Right now there are a few games, of course you would expect the bigger games would have been sold out.
00:39 The final is of course, tickets are currently unavailable for that, as well as one of the other semi-finals.
00:45 I think there are still some tickets available for the semi-final at Bryan Lara.
00:49 So anyone who is interested can actually go on and purchase those tickets now.
00:54 He says many people in the Caribbean prefer purchasing tickets in person.
00:57 As such, that area is going to be covered to the delight of the fans.
01:01 So we are actually going to be opening up box offices.
01:04 That's going to happen in the early part of April and we will make a formal announcement on that.
01:09 But that will happen straight across the Caribbean as well.
01:12 Cricket fans are known to gravitate to the matches involving big guns.
01:15 So what's going to happen in situations where Mino nations are playing?
01:19 That happens in any World Cup.
01:21 You will get what would be considered some of the bigger fixtures and then you will get some of what we consider not really the more popular fixtures.
01:29 So we do anticipate that that happens in every tournament and we will look at ways to fill the stadium on those days.
01:35 We will reach out to school children, to schools, to cricket groups, etc. so that everyone has a chance to participate in the tournament.
01:45 Trinidad will host five T20 World Cup matches with Taruba being the venue.
01:50 Vinod Nawani, TV6 Sport.
