00:00Well, Group B continues to look up for grabs with Jamaica, TNT, Curaçao and Bermuda fighting for the qualifying spots.
00:07As TNT requests funding, Jamaica is contemplating firing their head coach Steve McLaren ahead of the Group B CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.
00:16McLaren's reputation as Jamaica's head coach took a major hit last month after crashing out of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the group stage
00:24following defeats to Panama and Guatemala and a less-than-convincing victory against lowly-ranked Guadalupe.
00:31It was the first time since 2009 that Jamaica failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the regional competition.
00:39The message is, in September, when we gather again, no one's guaranteed a spot in this squad. Nobody.
00:48And that's what I've said to them. They've got to show it from now until September within their clubs, and then they've got to commit.
00:59Meantime, Curaçao were also eliminated in the Gold Cup. However, they gave a strong showing and La Familia Azul, as they are called, are now 90th, and climbing up the FIFA rankings.
01:10They are managed by Dick Avocat, who had spells at Sunderland, Rangers, PSV, and saw them earn a draw with Canada and El Salvador in the Gold Cup.
01:21They've only lost two of their last ten matches. They made TNT next.
01:27Well, Bermuda, arguably the weakest team, ranked 168th in the FIFA rankings, continues to look for answers to advance to the World Cup,
01:36despite being relatively inactive since the CONCACAF qualifiers.
01:39The assistant coach of the team, Kenny Thompson, has linked up with former FC Barcelona Academy Technical Director, Albert Puig,
01:47in a collaboration geared towards delivering world-class player and coach education to improve the standard of the game in Bermuda.
01:55They will play their first game of the World Cup qualifiers at home against Jamaica in September.
