00:12 Any pieces.
00:13 Any pieces?
00:14 Wow.
00:15 Hundreds of thousands of tiny bricks were brought in for the very first Darwin Lego
00:28 Expo, where the young and young at heart showed off the results of hours spent poring over
00:34 instructions and digging through tubs of pieces.
00:38 Some creations come straight out of the box, while others required only imagination and
00:43 some careful handling.
00:44 Well I had to carry it downstairs to get it to the car and before that I had to move it

00:54 For long time fans of the iconic coloured bricks, inspiration for a new model or building
00:59 technique can come from anywhere.

01:32 and our pop-up event for the year.
01:34 Even though it says ages 9 and 10 on the box, there are just as many adults excited by today's
01:40 creations as there are kids.
01:42 Lego's become a lot more than just for children, it's for the big kids as well.
01:46 We weren't into Lego until COVID and being in lockdown I was going crazy so I bought
01:56 a few Lego sets.
01:57 Today's event might have some inspired to go home and raid Dad's collection.
02:01 Dad has more Lego than me.
02:03 There's one at home and also it's so much gooder and it can float on real water.
